This section contains the complete list of Italian digital theatrical archives, previously published in IDOS_ARTS. You will find detailed information on each archive, including the region, city, archive name, and a complete description with useful links to access the digital resources.
Platform Information
The Hyperstage platform currently contains only a limited selection of performances. These were utilized to construct an ontology serving as the semantic framework for managing data and metadata related to theatrical productions in specific genres: opera, tragedy, prose theatre, ballet and modern and contemporary dance performances.
Therefore, users should be aware that at this stage, the platform does not yet offer an exhaustive repository of all Italian performances from 1500 to the present day; rather, it hosts a curated selection. The initial phase of the project was dedicated to this crucial bottom-up construction of the ontology.
How the search works
The search in Hyperstage allows you to search for performances by title. You can enter the full name or part of a performance name. Additionally, you can browse through specific properties such as stage sketches, costume sketches, stage costumes, and reference sources. Results will show detailed information on each production, including premiere date, venue, and genre.
